Hudson Yards is an entirely new neighborhood being built on the far west side of Manhattan. There is a new subway entrance with glittering mosaics by artist Xenobia Bailey, incorporated into the station. The 7 train aka (The International Express) has been extended to take commuters directly to the area. Check out my video and leave a comment below. – Will

Those brave enough to face the freezing cold weather in New York City will discover a magical scene at Bryant Park. The Josephine Shaw Lowell fountain is completely frozen. Two years ago, the Bryant Park Conservancy had heaters installed in the plumbing chamber. The water can flow all through the winter, creating a cascade of ice that makes the perfect addition to the ambiance of the Winter Village and ice rink. See the video above.
The holiday window display at Barneys featured the dazzling work of Anthony Howe whose kinetic sculptures appear alien-like and otherworldly. See the video above.
The New Museum, located at 235 Bowery, currently has an exhibition called Live Through That?! by Lili Reynaud-Dewar. This is her first solo presentation in the US. The display features curtains with provocative writings from Guillaume Dustan’s 1996 book In My Room.
Taking advantage of MoMA’s free admission on Friday evenings, the museum has an exhibition called, The Paris of Toulouse-Lautrec: Prints and Posters. I happened upon this piece made by Henri de Toulouse-Lauttrec for his friend and drinking buddy, Paul Sescau, in 1894. MoMA
The Hermès display on Madison Avenue is an impressive sight showing mannequins with heads made of books and newspapers. The mannequin heads were designed by New York City based artist Nick Georgiou. A more extensive collection of his work can be seen at Allouche Gallery, in SoHo.
Printed Matter, Inc., a non-profit organization, held the ninth annual NY Art Book Fair at MoMA PS1 in Long Island City, Queens. The event featured exhibitions from local and international book publishers and attracted tens of thousands of visitors.
Street artist Bradley Theodore has created a colorful mural featuring fashion icons Anna Wintour and Karl Lagerfeld. The mural can be found at Mott and Kenmare in Little Italy. Bradley Theodore
