Last night, I visited the historic Beacon Theatre for a music concert and was amazed by the neo-Grecian decorations throughout the building. Large columns feature mythological themes, and the enormous chandelier inside the auditorium  is magnificent. Designed by architect Walter W. Ahlschlager, the three tiered theatre was originally built as part of a chain of movie palaces. Now, the building is a leading venue for live performances and annual events such as the Tony Awards. Beacon Theatre
